I did something this week that I’ve never done before in my life and I intend to do it again. I hired a cleaning company to come in and give the house a good cleaning, as in mop / vacuum / dust / wipe down everything in site type thing. Our house had gotten quite dusty and I’m not all that good at doing some of that kind of daily maintenance. And face it, I’ve got a lot of higher priority things on my mind.

The cleaners came in, did a great job, and were gone in about 2 hours. There were 2 of them so 4 hours of labour. Money well spent as far as I’m concerned. I will be having them back on a monthly basis. It just makes life easier.

Sue was out at the day program I take her to on Wednesdays but even at that it stressed her and set her off a bit. She knew ahead of time that they were coming but it really didn’t sink in, and once they were gone she felt a need to grab a rag and start wiping down the woodwork. Thats fine, it seemed to answer whatever need was in her head.

This week started off wet and cool but ended up very hot and dry again. There is very little snow left up in the high parts of the mountains. Good thing summer is almost over.
