Hi
Guys,
It
looks
like it’s the time of year again when we have to decide
if we
want to continue on with this family news /
entertainment email
letter. Thats what you must decide. We could keep it
going for anyone
who does want it I guess, just let me know and we will
be in full
‘production’ as of next Saturday, September 7th.
If
you are not interested, also please let me know so I can
unceremoniously dump you from the mailing list. Its all
that simple.
I
keep saying this, but it would be nice if as many of us
as possible
would contribute to each week’s addition with a story or
episode of
whats going on in your life. You see, thats what this
letter is all
about. We are an extended family, spread from coast to
coast as well
as all the way to the other side of the world to where
the Zellar
family lives in the land down under. Not everyone needs
to come up
with something each week but if everyone did write in
occasionally,
it would add greatly to the enjoyment of the readers.
And of course
if we could have more ‘regular’ contributors it would be
that
much better.
This
letter
could not be kept going without the dedication of our
regular
contributors and I can’t thank them enough. But I’ll say
it
again, Thank you.
By
the
way, there actually were Squamidians each week this
summer, but
they were the ‘unpublished’ versions, not sent out each
week.
Just me writing a little bit of what I was up to as a
way of keeping
track of things. They are on my web site along with all
the normal
issues. Thats why this issue’s number is 1162 and not
1153.

This
is
the last long weekend of the summer, thank goodness. I’m
happy
to see the ‘summer’ part of summer gone, over with,
behind us.
Those of us who live in a tourist area know what I’m
talking about.
The endless traffic, the endless crowds of brain dead
morons, and so
on. Hopefully summer weather will continue for a while
but without
the summer ‘people’ As well as the endless numbers of
cityiots
spilling into the countryside, our summer has been hot
and dry,
making for severe drought conditions up until a couple
of weeks ago
when it turned cool and wet. That was a good thing, it
brought the
forest fires under control. Our summer was also
highlighted by an
incredible number of bears. In fact, one followed us
into our garage
a few days ago. We had been out for a coffee and some
groceries one
morning and I hit the garaged door opener and drove on
into the
garage. I happened to look in my side mirror as I
started to open the
car door and saw a rather big guy following us in. He
was about half
way in so I re-started the vehicle and that convinced
him to back
back out (sort of pushed him out with the back bumper)
at which time
I hit the remote and the door came down with the bear on
the outside.
It then wandered over to the neighbors. Just one story
of life around
here this summer.
So,
are
we ready to start back up again, its up to you.

- A Word From Russ
Interested?
Please
allow
me to join forces with Doug to determine if the
Squamidian
carries on or not.
My
personal
wish is that it carries on for at least another year (or
longer, if you feel the same as me)
As
a
"Family News Letter", the Squamidian has kept us in
touch
with one another for many years. How else would we know
what's
happening in your life?
Everything
is
costing more these days, but the Squamidian is still free!
I
missed you during the past two months - you always have
stories of
interest to share, and I look forward to reading the
Squamidian each
Saturday morning.
We
thank
the regular contributors for never disappointing us, and
hope
to hear from the rest of you from time to time.
Uncle
Russ
