We
had
a few very much needed days of rain early this week. It
helped a
lot with the fires in the Interior and with the dryness
here on the
coast. By late week we were back to very hot and dry so
the fires
will probably start to rage again.
This
is
of course the mid summer long weekend. I don’t need to
go again
into how much I hate lone weekends, given how busy they
are and how
deadly the highways become due to the moronic self
entitled drivers.
So I won’t. But, it just becomes another reason to hide
at home
instead of going anywhere or doing anything.
Something
I
did do this week was get my hair cut. For most people
that would be
a normal everyday thing but I tend top only do it once
my hair is
completely out of control and I look like some wild bush
man. So,
down to the barber I went and had them cut everything
very short. Now
I don’t look like me and thats ok and besides, it all
grows back so
very fast.
And something
rather
disgusting, I saw the worst example of a kid throwing a
temper
tantrum imaginable. I was in the checkout line at the
grocery store
and a kid about 5 or 6 started yelling at what was
probably his
grandmother. At the top of his lungs he screamed at her
and tried to
push her shopping cart over. He then went to a blueberry
display and
started throwing the boxes of berries onto the floor,
sending berries
all over the place. Never letting up with the screaming,
he pulled
over a display. When his grandfather tried to grab him,
he ran behind
the customer service counter where the grandfather
finally caught
him. The kid was still screaming about whatever it was
he wanted. It
was disgusting and embarrassing for everyone. If that
kid is not
corrected and set on a better path he will be in the
news in a short
few years for knifing people because they won’t give him
what he
wants. He needs a really good spanking but these days
the parent or
whoever would find themselves in big trouble if they did
that.
