Hey
There,
We’ve
had
the girls here since school let out. Thats great but its
also
exhausting. Kids these days don’t seem to know how to do
anything.
How to help around the house, how to entertain
themselves, and so on.
And anything we want to do has to be pre-planned and
configured for 4
instead of 2. That leaves out enjoyable things like
simply taking off
on the motorcycle for a little toot. Between having the
kids here and
some health issues, the bike is gathering dust and
spider webs.
As
this
letter knows, I had a very painful bout of kidney
stones. I had
thought I was over with that when I passed a stone last
week. There
was about 4 days of bliss, no issues at all with the
exception of my
hip joint and other age crap. Well, a few days ago I got
hit with
another wave of the way too familiar kidney stone pain.
At least this
time I knew what it was. I had been able to see a doctor
in our soon
to be none existent doctor’s office where we discussed
the issue.
He had suggested that even though I’d passed ‘the’
stone,
there was likely smaller bits of shrapnel still in there
and those
bits could and probably would make themselves known. And
they or it
did. Wow. I do think I passed that one in about 24 hours
from it’s
first poke at my insides and sure hope thats the case.
Only time will
tell if it’s still there or if there is still more like
it lurking.
That
will
have to do it for this week. Oh, I did manage to get out
on the
bike for a toot down to Horseshoe Bay. Hit rain just
before I got
there, it rained while I sat there chatting with a
friend, and it
rained all the way home. But at least I got out on the
bike. I had
proper riding gear on and stayed dry, the bike got a bit
wet and
dirty but can easily be cleaned up so it was still a
nice ride.
