                      This past Monday I
                        had a very
long dental appointment. It was supposed to be 3 hours
                        but ended up
being 5. My teeth are starting to fall apart. There is
                        (was) a bridge
on the front right side that was loose and x-rays could
                        not determine
what exactly was going on. So, there was no way of
                        knowing what the
outcome of the appointment would be.

                      She took
                        impressions etc and
then removed part of the bridge. The bridge was anchored
                        to 3 teeth.
One for sure needed to be root cannaled. That was going
                        fine until
she got up near the top of the bone where it impacts the
                        sinus
membrane. At that point it felt like a red hot poker had
                        been shoved
way up my nostril. Once that settled down a bit she
                        continued but
then it started to bleed around the tooth. That
                        apparently indicated
the tooth had cracked but no one could know for sure.
                        The only avenue
no available was to pull the tooth, which she did. The
                        bleeding
didn’t stop and it took over an hour for it to be at a
                        point where
we could call it a day. The sinus pain continued of for
                        quite a while
but the bleeding was at least under control. Thats how
                        we left it.

                      I must now see a
                        specialist as
there are several old ‘stumps’ that must come out and
                        the work
needed for all my teeth is beyond the capacity of a
                        family dentist.
It’s going to be a long painful ride forward with no way
                        of knowing
what will be possible and what I’ll end up with. Such is
                        life at my
                        age.
