                      Our heat wave ended
                        with a few
nice cool days but no real rain. Its getting dry out
                        there again and
the heat is building again. This could be a long hot
                        summer.

                      My computer mouse
                        wore out.
I’ve been using the same old wired mouse for many years
                        but the
buttons started acting up, sending mixed messages to the
                        computer.
So, to that end I went to LD and picked up a wireless
                        mouse, the kind
that uses a little USB receiver. I figured that should
                        work well and
being cordless it would be more convenient. It didn’t
                        work! The new
mouse was dead. I couldn’t get it to turn on. Battery
                        was good so
assumably a bad internal connection. I took it back and
                        the stupid
thing worked for the salesman. That made me feel like a
                        dumb old man
who doesn’t know how to work a mouse. So, took it home,
                        plugged in
the USB receiver, turned it on and low and behold, it
                        worked. For a
whole half minute, then it quit again and would not come
                        back on. So,
back to LD and this time I insisted on them taking it
                        back, which
they did. I picked up a different mouse, a good old
                        fashion corded
one and it works just fine.

                      I’ve had a meeting
                        with a
health case worker and then she came to our house for a
                        visit, to
meet and chat with Sue etc. I think that insulted Sue
                        but its all for
the best as we do need official help from the system.
                        This has long
since become way more than I can handle and endure.
