                    Based
on
the carnage on our streets and highways over the last
                        week or so,
it has become apparent that drivers go berserk when the
                        summer sun
comes out. It is also apparent that the level of
                        berserkity increases
exponentially with each degree rise in temperature. This
                        tend to make
going anywhere or doing anything very stressful so we
                        spend most of
the summer just hiding at home. Kind of boring when you
                        think about
it but who wants to be stuck in stopped traffic on the
                        highway
somewhere for hours in 90 degree heat. Not me.

                    We
had
a power outage this week. Most of this end of town went
                        out on
Monday morning and stayed out for several hour. No one
                        seems to know
why. The down-side is that we were forced to do nothing
                        for the
morning and the up-side is that we were forced to do
                        nothing. Very
quiet, relaxing and we hardly noticed it.

                    One
evening
we were invited to George’s house for dinner. George is
                        a
dog, a small poodle-cross dog with a big personality and
                        except for
his people, we are the only ones he will let touch him.
                        He squeals
and basically goes nuts when he sees us. Upon being
                        invited over for
dinner, I asked Melonie if she had cleared this with
                        George and she
said it was his idea so that settled that. George was
                        over the top
excited about us coming into his house and the first
                        thing he did was
steal Sue’s shoes and take them out into his back yard.
                        It would be
interesting to know what goes on in a dog’s mind.
