Issue #1047

Well now,

We still can’t shake the cold and rain. Here we are past mid June and it’s still like mid March out there. The snowpack in the mountains remains at almost double what it would normally be in late winter and the southern interior is experiencing major flooding. I’m tired of rain and cold. Everyone is tired of it. My blueberries should be starting to ripen but they are still in the blossom stage. Wow.

The Wife’ had wanted some relatively big renovations done to our house. And so, thats what is happening. We are in the middle of the 2nd phase at the moment. The 1st phase was the front hall and laundry room and consisted of having the old floor ripped out and replaced with new modern tile, as well as the water heater replaced and then the rooms painted. Now, the second phase consists of the main floor bathroom being gutted, a tile floor put in with under floor heating, paint, and so on. The vanity top will be replaced at some point in the future. 3rd phase will be the top floor bathroom which will be totally gutted, re-designed with a tile and glass shower and in floor heat. That will be in a moth from now I think. As for now, we live in a construction zone with the house in total disarray. And it’s too cold to do anything outside. Heck, it’s too cold inside as the doors are constantly open for ventilation and worker access.

I’d just as soon left every thing as it was, functional and comfortable. But, she wants this stuff done regardless of the cost and it will indeed cost a lot. I guess having a lot of updates done will be a good thing in the long run, just a pain in the butt now.
