Hey All,

We had a cool but mostly sunny week. Today is raining. I used the bike to commute to Whistler on Wednesday and Thursday so Ryan and Emily and Shannon could have the van. Very nice of me considering on Wednesday it was 7 degrees when I left here at 6:15 and only 3 when I got to Whistler. I was a bit cold.

Took Friday off for a couple of reasons. Sue's holidays started on Friday and her sister and Paul got here Friday. They flew to Calgary, rented a car and drove through the mountains.

We had ordered a new car and it was supposed to be ready for Friday. A Chevy Malibu. Very middle age conservative car. We had purchased undercoating but I looked under and it hadn't been done. The sales man was as surprised as I was. So they got it ready for Saturday. Sue has been driving it around but I haven't even had a chance to sit in it.

Took the kids to Whistler Friday afternoon so they could look around. There are lots of interesting places on the way up and back.

Ryan, Emily, Shannon, Sherry and I hiked up the Chief Saturday afternoon as the kids had to drive Shannon to the airport in the evening. She's sad to be heading back to Ontario. Sherry made it about 98% of the way up. She got hung up on the rocks just above where you pull your self up through a crevasse with a chain. She couldn't handle scrambling up the open rock from there. We left here there and finished the climb. She was OK on the way down once we were back into the trees where you can't see how high you are.

Sue has the next 2 weeks off. I have this week off.

Still eating my own blue berries.
