Hey All,

Another hot sunny week out here on the coast. Sue was in Regina all week and got back Friday afternoon. She parked in the 'park and fly' lot at the airport and that worked out OK. The dogs and I had the house to our selves so they could sit up at the table again. Sue is working within commuting distance this coming week so they will have to be dogs again.

Got my hair buzzed again. That should bring on some cooler weather. It's funny to hear the locals complain about how sticky and humid it is when we have hot temps. The humidity level will be about 23% and visibility will be about 100 miles but they all think its bad. They ain't seen bad.

Had the bike out for a short toot today (Saturday). Riding in this scenery is still new to me so I tend to ride like a tourist, which isn't good. These roads take all your attention.

Sue went to Vancouver with Janis and some other woman to watch a play on the beach. Sure glad I wasn’t invited. I would rather boar my time to death than go to a play.

This is the Black Tusk, near Whistler. Em took this picture when we hiked up there with Warren and Denis. This is from several clicks away. You can see the snow we hiked through, getting wet feet and sun burned at the same time. We had 4x4d for a hour up a very rough road until we couldn't drive any further. That  point was a couple of kicks behind us. The Tusk is an extinct volcano core. The softer surrounding rock has eroded away faster than the core. There are areas of rock up here that have been shattered by thermal stress. They look like billions of dinner plates all stacked together.

This is from up on the Chief. About 2000 ft above the valley, looking north at Mt. Garibaldi and Brome Ridge. The subdivision we live in is between the rock on the left of the picture and the Ridge. Ewan is thinking of dropping in for a visit in October. That would be a good excuse to climb back up there once more this season. Anyone wanting to tag along would be welcome so there's your chance.
